So, this song’s name is “Swim! Taiyaki-kun”. It was a smash hit song in 1975. This song has been sold all singles in Japan as of January 2013. And next year (in 1976) they sold combination album of animated children's programs. This song established record sales too. The first prize in Orikon chart continuance six week and sold 50 thousand sheets. This record continued until “The best of detective Conan” was Sold. And it was published in the Guinness Book of World Records in 2009 "the best selling single in Japan". This song was broadcast in program for children”Fold out! ponkikki”.
So, this song worked for Taiyaki spread. It had very important role Taiyaki industry.
Then, in what circumstances made this song?
This song’s lyricist is Hiroo Takada. He is very famous lyricist in Japan. He started from picture book writer, and worked on the lyrics many songs for children. And he likes liquor very much.
One day, he had a pub crawl as usual. At that time he found one store. This store was Taiyaki store.
“Oh,Taiyaki! It is very dear! ”
And he bought Taiyaki. He thought that…
